About Us

The e-Assessment Association is a professional body in the process of formation.  The initial report on the setting up of such a body was commissioned by the QCA, the SQA and the CCEA and was chaired by Professor Cliff Beevers of Heriot Watt University.

At present there is an interim Board of Management, which had its inaugural meeting in October 2006.  It is made up of people who have experience in the e-Assessment sector (see below).  It is intended that the eAA should have links with the Institute of Educational Assessors (see related websites).

The Board has agreed a set of Aims and Objectives and now seeks to attract members.  The membership will then be invited to contribute to decisions on the future roles and activities of the eAA.
